Appart'City Confort Nantes Centre occupies a location you do not improvise: in the heart of Bouffay, Nantes’ medieval district, among exposed stone and cobblestones. It can be reached from the tram stop, which is literally right in front of the door. A two-minute walk, no more.

From the moment you enter, the reception sets the tone. The original stone walls have been preserved, and a glass roof lets the light flow into the room where breakfast is served. The building has a listed façade, and it shows: something a little older than the average apart-hotel in the city center.

The studios range from 20 to 30 square meters, with a larger option for families, up to 40 square meters and a sofa bed. The kitchenette is designed for real meals: ceramic hobs, refrigerator, microwave, complete tableware. A desk, blackout curtains, a safe. Nothing superfluous, but everything you need to stay a week without feeling like you are living in a hotel room.

On the ground floor, breakfast is served buffet-style, under the glass roof. AOC products from Poitou-Charentes, bread in several forms including a gluten-free option, organic yogurts, fresh fruit. The hours are flexible enough not to make late risers feel guilty.

The neighborhood around it, however, does not go to sleep early. Bouffay is a lively area, with bars and restaurants that keep the pedestrian streets busy late into the night. Rooms facing the street keep some of that echo, especially on weekends. The property knows this: earplugs are provided in the relevant rooms, a simple gesture that makes all the difference for anyone who sleeps early.

There is no on-site parking either, as the area is entirely pedestrianized. The public Feydeau parking lot, a few meters away, takes over for those arriving by car.

The staff, for their part, seem used to handling the unexpected needs of passing travelers. Luggage storage available for early departures, reception open 24/7, staff able to switch from one language to another to help international guests. Six studios are adapted for guests with reduced mobility, a detail that matters when looking for that kind of information at the last minute.

Just a stone’s throw away, the Château des Ducs de Bretagne is visible after a three-hundred-meter walk. The cathedral is 400 meters away, the Tour de Bretagne 700. Everything can be done on foot, or you can hop on the tram for longer distances.

If you sleep early, it is better to ask for a courtyard-facing room when booking. Bouffay, for its part, never closes before 2 a.m.
