Seven Urban Suites occupies a building designed by Christian de Portzamparc, set on Île de Nantes, just at the foot of the Tripode busway stop.

We are not exactly in old Nantes here; it takes a few minutes by bus to reach the Château des Ducs or Bouffay. But this short distance is also felt in the evening, when the streets around the hotel return to their calm while the historic center continues to bustle.

Push open the door, and reception is open 24 hours a day, with that slightly special welcome of hotel residences: less formal than a large hotel, more attentive to the details of everyday life. You will meet as many business travelers coming for the Cité des Congrès, two busway minutes away, as families settled in for several nights.

The 107 rooms and suites favor independence. Each has a fully equipped kitchenette, cooktop, refrigerator, dishes, everything needed to prepare a meal without depending on restaurant hours. The decor remains understated, with discreet materials and colors, a desk for those who work, and a sofa bed in the two-room suites for families. In the bathroom, Nuxe toiletries and a hairdryer complete the setup.

In the morning, head to the buffet, served from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays and a little later on weekends. It should be noted that it comes at an extra charge, which also leaves you free to skip it on some days and simply make a coffee in your room before heading out for a stroll.

On the ground floor, the Lobby Bar remains open from 10 a.m. to midnight. One tip, for those staying one or two nights: book the spa in the late afternoon, before 6 p.m. The area is still deserted at that hour, and the light passing through the large windows gives a special charm to that moment of the day.
