Five atmospheres share the floors. You can choose ExploChic when the urge to travel kicks in, or move toward Jagger for an extra dose of rock and black leather. Others prefer the understated GreenGrey, or the softer lines of Classique Chic. Each room bears the house catalog’s signature touch: a mirror picked up here, a low armchair there, a lamp unlike any other.

The rooms are not trying to be extravagant. Some remain compact, especially in the Cosy and Comfort categories. The charm lies elsewhere than in square meters: in the thickness of the bedding, in the espresso machine on the courtesy tray, in the small ritual of making your own coffee before heading downstairs.

On the ground floor, the lounge serves as a communal living room. Library, large tables, bar open continuously. You’ll see travelers bent over their laptops, neighbors from the area stopping by just to have a coffee. In the evening, a few platters of cured meats or cheese circulate, with a glass of Loire wine in hand.

Breakfast is served in the dining room or in the room. Buffet from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on weekdays, until 11 a.m. on weekends. Local products, coffee from a Nantes roaster, and enough choice for those who prefer savory over sweet.

On the upper floors, the walls sometimes let a bit of hotel life filter through: a burst of laughter in the hallway, a step a little heavier than the others. Nothing dramatic. But light sleepers would do better to ask for a courtyard-facing room.

For longer stays, the apartment suites on Rue Saint-Julien and Rue Contrescarpe offer a real fully equipped kitchen, a few hundred meters from the hotel. Access is via a connected lock, with the code sent directly to the phone.
